So after months of debating and one failed attempt 2 years ago... I've decided to try this blogging thing again. Not sure how interesting it will be, but I'm sure it will be random :)
Since this is my first blog, I'm not sure what will be interesting to read about so I will just tell you about the wasp I killed today.
I come home after spending an awesome hour checking out a retreat facility we will be using for a youth group trip only to find a wasp in my basement. I am terrified of bugs. All types but especially ones that could kill you. So I start thinking, how the heck am I going to get this wasp out of my house! I begin frantically texting and calling my man BUT he was no where to be reached. I then start thinking about where I could hide out for the day until he gets home. Right then my phone rings and its my mom. I yelped. Yep, I yelped at her on the phone. She began asking me what is wrong. I tried to catch my breathe and tell her about the wasp. Which she insisted I HAD to kill. She told me I didn't have an option! What?!?! The big nasty flying stinging bug I had to kill? Of course my mom is cracking up laughing at me on the phone as she tries to explain how I should kill this wasp.
Her first suggestion, grab a book and wack it. Yeah right mom, I will miss and he will repeatedly sting me until I swell up like a ballon and pass out. No thanks!
Second she says to trap it then kill it. Again mom, how the heck to do expect me to trap a wasp. No thank you!
Finally, she suggest something I can do. Grab some room spray and spray the heck out of the wasp! So I run upstairs and look for the perfect scent. I mean if I'm going to spray him I want my house to smell good afterwards :)
So I pick up my can of febreze Moroccan Bazaar and coat the wasp in it. Success! But just to make sure he is really dead I wacked him a few times with my fly swatter. Yep, no messing around here! Good bye wasp, and please make sure none of your friends come here, as I do not think I have the strength to kill another.
So yes, that has been my day so far. I'm thinking now I need to go make some Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies, as the last batch I made got all eaten before I could enjoy them!
Enjoy the weekend!
I can see it, AND you are awesome. I will read your awesome post now. :)
ReplyDeleteOk, AWESOME first post. I love it! I'm so glad that wasp didn't kill you AND it sounds just like you to do that! Have you ever been to a Moroccan Bazaar? The place STIIIIIINKS, hot smelly unshowered North Afican's. BUT, I'm sure your house smelled super yummy.... And lastly, can you post that recipe? I sure do miss all your yummy cooking, or maybe I just miss sitting and visiting with you?
