I can't wait for Wade to get home so I can have him upload all the pictures from our trip. I did not do the best job at taking pictures this time because there was so much to do! Wade loves Branson and Silver Dollar City, and I have never been. Now I can say we both love these things. :)
First, it was beyond refreshing to get away and have some us time. We haven't had that in awhile and I didn't realize how much I missed my man until we were driving down to Branson and I looked over at him and was just so happy. His smile, his voice, his heart for God... all those things I love and during our trip I got to see so much of them. I think it is easy to get caught in a routine and get wrapped up in all the duties we have but getting away allowed us to just be. I fell even more in love with Wade during our trip and I am so glad we had the opportunity to get away. I wish the trip never had to end but I guess this is a part of adulthood and responsibilty. Can we all turn back the clocks a few years? Back to college days when we could just be all the time? In any case I loved getting away!
Second, Silver Dollar City is awesome. I loved it during Christmastime as there were so many lights and smells of the season! Lucky for us it was in the 70* our whole trip so we got to enjoy the season without the frigid temps. And they even had fake snow during a few of the Christmas Shows, so we had the warm weather with snow :) I bought so many things from fudge to pottery to taffy. I guess I am glad we are gone because I'm pretty sure I gained 5 pounds during out time there and I'm sure if we stayed I would gain alot more!
I'll post more later tonight taking you through a picture tour of our trip... but if you have never been to Branson you should go. It is such a fun place and there is a ton to do. One of my favorite parts of the trip... outlet mall shopping :) Although, Wade was smart and had worn me out that week by having us walk everywhere before we went to the stores so I didn't last that long. But I did pick up a few goodies. I guess this just means he has to take me back and I will plan the shopping for our first day ;)
Hope you all have had a blessed week and are getting excited for Thanksgiving! (Any more pie ideas out there??)
Wahoo! Maybe next time you go Q and I can meet you there and you can be with your man AND a good friend!? (I can't wait for photos)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a pretty wonderful time! I am glad you and Wade had that alone time together, it is so important! And fudge really sounds yummy. And the outlet shopping mall sounds fun as well.... :)
