Happy Award :)

Laura over at Prone to Wander gave me an award! I think i figured out how to put these things on here so we will see how I do :) La and I met in DC while workin away at the bux. She soon became a dear friend of mine and her and her husband,Q, had a baby in May. She has the cutest little girl who makes an appearance or two on her blog. Seriously, this little one is so cute and has the sweetest biggest brown eyes. La is a great lady too and her blog is always fun to read. Okay so the award she gave me is the Happy101 Blogger Award. I am suppose to list 10 things that make me do the happy dance, this one may be hard to narrow down ;)

1.Wade getting home! I love when he gets home... especially after his week long trips. It is so great to see his face again and hold his hand. I especially love driving up to the airport and seeing his handsome smile waiting for me curbside. I can't wait to pull over and get him in the car and hear all about his trip. LOVE IT!

2. Baby's heartbeat! I love going to the doctors office and hearing the pitter-patter of our sweet little one. I can only imagine what the baby will look like when he/she arrives I love hearing that heartbeat and knowing God is creating our baby just as He wants. So wonderful!

3. Baking This is one of my favorite things to do. I love to spend my Fridays (my day off) baking up goodies. Most of the time I make way too much for Wade and I but I love to bake. Something about it is so relaxing to me and not to mention so delicious!

4. Spending time in solitude with God  I truly love sitting in His presence. Although, I have to admit I have been failing at this one big time. It is the one thing that makes me truly happy and at peace. Good quality time with the Lord.

5. Tea from the Tea Smith I love my daily stop by the Tea Smith. Not only are all the teas wonderful but the people there make me smile. I never feel rushed when I go in there and they are so good at conversing with customers as we wait on our tea. Plus, the girls there and I have dinner dates every once in awhile. So they have now become friends and not just nice people who make my tea. :)

6. Snow As you can see from previous post we have gotten alot of snow already this year. But I LOVE every bit of it! Something about it makes me so happy, I think its all that shimmering it does.

7. Homemade sauce I.LOVE.THE.SMELL. I remember as a little kid my dad getting up early on Sundays to make sauce and the smell would fill the house waking us all up longing for supper time. This is definitely a tradition I will carry on to my family. Yum.

8. Cooking. As much as I love baking I love to cook equally. It is my daily destresser, something about chopping and dicing takes the stress of the day away and makes me happy to spend time with my hubby that night :)

9. Walking around Target Even when I have nothing to buy walking around that store just makes me happy. Call me strange, but something about target is wonderful.

10. Starbucks something about drinking out of starbucks cups, especially the Christmas season ones, makes me happy. May be that fimilar smell and taste of my days in DC.

Okay and now it's time to pass on this wonderful award....

Amanda over at Just 2 People in a Big World. She has been such a great friend for years. We even wore identical wedding dresses. :) Her blog is wonderful and chronicals their time in South Africa. Also, she is a great writer and photographer so her blog is always beautiful to read and look at. Plus, she is back in the States for Christmas so I'm sure she will have a post or two about that.

Lindsey over at The Ebright Family. I have been friends with Lindsey for years. We majored in the same thing at college and had such a fun time together in classes. Her blog is always entertaining and her and her husband are just the cutest. I love the pictures she post about their time in Texas and all the fun little decorating tips she weaves in. Read her latest one about old Christmas cards.

Thanks for reading this super long post! Hopefully it was entertaining :)
