I missed showing my baby bump last week due to our trip to DC so I will just combine the two weeks in this post :) Here are the pics:

I'm thinkin it might be time to start using a different shirt in these pics :) I am clearly not fitting into it anymore and the tank top underneath even requires my hands assist to keep it from pulling up.
So I've been reading some blogs of other pregnant gals and they have list of what is going on during that week. I really like the format except that they all reveal their weight gain, and lets face it I don't want to share that on the world wide web. If you really want to know email or call me and I'll tell you but I don't want to post it on here. But I will tell you I am right on track with how much you are suppose to gain. Ok so that aside, I will list some things and let me know if you like reading about my pregnancy this way :)
How far along? today I am 19 wks 6 days
Baby is the size of a(n): as Jen put it during the ultrasound, there are 3 quarter-pounders in my belly, baby and everything else.
Food cravings/aversions: I absolutely love citrus-things. Oranges in particular, which is funny cause I use to be allergic to them but now I can have one a day and a HUGE glass of oj. I also am obsessed with Whole Foods salad bar. I've been going once a week... which is a bad habit since it is so expensive but it taste soooo good.
Sleeping: Most nights I sleep okay although I do get up at least once to pee and as soon as Wade's alarm goes off I am up. I still am taking afternoon naps so I can make it through the night. I mean I guess if I didn't stay up until 11:30 most nights I wouldn't need to nap, but that's besides the point.
Milestones: This week we found out the baby is a BOY :) And we are due June 13th now. Both exciting things. Oh and so far our baby boy is big for his age. Not suprising since both his parents were over 8.5lbs at birth ;)
Weird things I read online: I try not too read too much online... ya know cause it kind of freaks you out when you hear all the things people say. But I do look on http://www.thebump.com/ each week to see how big they say the baby is... this week he is the size of a mango :)
Interesting things that happened this past week/anticdotes: Well when we were flying back from DC last week there was a point on the flight where there was a lot of turbulance. So much so that my butt kept leaving my seat. Anyway, baby boy must have been enjoying himself cause he was flipping back and forth all around in my belly. It really was the strangest feeling ever it felt like my uterus was turning back and forth over itself and that baby boy was jumping up and down. Not sure it is a feeling I want to have again :)

VERY exciting. You look great. I wore the SAME shirt every month until the very end. Believe me, your shirt will stretch and be forever ruined, but it is fun to see how you progress in regards to the shirt. Just sayin'! I love the updates and baby Mango.

ReplyDeleteCONGRATS on finding out your having a boy!!! How exciting. I loved that you posted about what you are experiencing now. I'm always curious about that stuff. :) One that I can't wait to do when I'm pregnant is register. Have so much fun!!

Cute little bump, mama! I too craved citrus, mostly pineapple... AND, get this, pineapple used to cause me severe mouth pain (my gums would get sores, it was awful!) but I literally ate it every day of the week while pregnant and never once had an issue! Isn't that bizarre how that stuff works?

I love reading about your journey! I find it very interesting and exciting to hear about the new stuff each week. Plus you will be super glad to have this later on to look back at, so awesome! And I think that you look super hot! IS that inappropriate? I am just being honest! :)
ReplyDeletei like the new set up of your little blog. And I LOVE the pictures of my nephew! He's great. He's by far my favorite nephew! also..since it is a boy...mayyyyybe change the colors of your blog to blue and brown instead of pink and brown....but I love ya!!! I miss you!
