This week has been great. I think its the combination of not working anymore and finally having a clean house with laundry caught up and paint projects started. I also thing the sun shining has helped enhance my mood cause I can finally get outside and walk. I love being outside and feeling the warm sun add a sweet glow to me! So here are some pics from this week and I actually had time to do my hair before them but now I am thinking of cutting it short again. What do you all think... keep it long or get a cute summery short cut?
Week 25...side shot
Front view... week 25
How far along? today I am 25 weeks and 5 days
Baby is the size of a(n): about 13 1/2 inches long and a little over a pound and a half. He is growing like crazy now :) One site puts it as he is about as big as one of those recorders you use to play in elementary school.
Changes in me: A lot more energy this week. It has been really nice to have the energy to go and do things. I hope it doesn't fade too much as I enter 3rd trimester.
Food cravings: I haven't really had any intense cravings this week. I mean commericals come on all the time and I am like that looks soooo good but never really good enough to make the hubs go get it for me. I still crave tons of fruits and veggies and whenever I am cutting up veggies for salads or dinner I end up eating half of them before they even hit the table. I did discover frozen yogurt this past week and it has changed my life! It is so yummy and I have liked it even more than ice cream, plus it is only like 100 calories per serving so when I eat 3 bowls of it I don't feel guilty at all. :)
Sleeping: I have started napping again during the day and it has helped so much. The naps haven't really been intentional either... I normally am sitting on the couch reading something or watching a show and then wake up an hour later to a leg cramp and realize I fell asleep. I guess my body is now just making me sleep whenever it has the chance, which I don't mind at all cause it helps the energy level a ton.
Milestones: Baby boy's blood vessels in his lungs are developing this week and he is practicing breathing through his nose.
Babies activity: He continues to be a mover and a shaker and loves to send hard jabs to my side while I sleep. Last night I was rested my hand on my belly and felt a round ball in my hand... not sure what body part it was but it was super cool and a little freaky at the same time. He left it there for a few seconds before sending jabs to my side. I tried to have Wade feel it but baby boy wouldn't participate again. Hope he does it soon for Wade so I don't sound crazy ;)
Interesting things that happened this past week: I had a doctor's visit yesterday. His heartbeat is 150 and everything is going along great. I haven't had any swelling in my legs or ankles yet, which is great and I am hoping that stays away. I also found out that I now start coming in every 2 weeks! Can you believe it?? It seems like just yesterday I was pregnant and now I am going in to the doc every 2 weeks for his pending arrival! I was a little caught off guard when she said "Okay make an appointment for 2 weeks from today and we will do your gestational diabetes scan and some blood work". I couldn't believe that at my next appointment I will be in my third trimester and that the baby will be hear in about 100 days (or so the ticker above says)! I remember hitting the 100 day mark before our wedding and how quickly time flew by and now we just hit the 100 day mark for our baby boy and I'm sure it will fly by just as quick if not quicker. Craziness!
Oh and thank you all for your sweet comments everytime I post pictures! You all are too sweet and make me feel like a hot pregnant lady even on days I don't feel that way. I truly appreciate each of your kind words so thank you all :)
Love your belly shots!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to let you know I have a new blog address. Hope you have a great weekend!

I can just picture you walking through your neighborhood while smiling away! So cute! And your hair looks great by the way, as does the rest of you.
ReplyDeletePretty amazing about the little "ball" in your hand. So sweet. What a cutie!
I finally posted the award you gave me! Happy Monday.
ReplyDeleteI hate it when I think I've posted a comment, and then I realize I have not. What's up with that? Aren't leg cramps the WORST? I would wake up with "charlie horses" in the middle of the night, so bad I'd cry. I don't like that part. I like your hair the length it is, but I'm a sissy when it comes to short cuts. I always want to try something new and cute, but I back out last minute. I also can't make any drastic hair decisions while pregnant...I've been known to cry. I think maybe I'm just a bawl bag.
ReplyDeleteYou're too cute, and your belly is adorable. I feel like this is all forever away for me...but I know it'll be here before I know it!
I'm cutting my hair in April. Your hair is beautiful and looks great either way. I love the bump, and every two weeks, say what!!!? I so wish I could come to your shower and see you all preggers and cute! You are such a great mom!
