Week 26 Side view.. he is popping out for sure
Week 26 Frontal view... he doesn't look too big this way :)
How far along? today I am 26 weeks and 5 days
Baby is the size of a(n): He is about 14 inches long (head to toe) and weighs about 2 lbs. The size of an eggplant or burpcloth if that is a better image. Growing big and strong now :)
Changes in me: Nothing really new this week. I do think my belly button is going to stay in tact... well at least for now :)
Food cravings: Cupcakes. I love them! I finally figured out the best recipe for delicious homemade cupcakes and I think it may be a dangerous thing. I made them up last night and already ate 2 of them... I even debated about having one for breakfast today. I'd post a picture but I'm afraid if I do that you all will hate me for causing you a new addiction.
Sleeping: Last night was the first time and who knows how long that I slept for 3 hours straight with no potty break or kicking of my bladder! It was so lovely that when I finally woke up I had to touch my belly to make sure I was still pregnant ;) I think that was a poor decision though because little man thought that meant it was morning time and proceeded kicking me the rest of the night and morning, but hey I still got 3 solid hours in a row so I am very happy!
Milestones: He is starting to practice breathing and blinking his eyes. All in prep for his arrival to this big big world
Babies activity: He is a mover. I think he is going to be a soccer player cause his kicks are dangerously hard. Whenever someone feels him kick for the first time they are surprised by how hard they feel. I try to explain what it feels like from the inside but haven't found adequate words yet and for some reason saying its like being kicked from the inside doesnt do justice.
Interesting things that happened this past week: My sweet niece, Ashlyn, turned 6 this past weekend. While I was back in KC celebrating with them she got to feel our little man kick. It was super sweet and one time while she was sitting there feeling him kick about she turns to me and says I can hear him before he kicks me. It was so sweet and she loved putting her hands on my belly and talking to him. She is going to be such a great cousin to our little man and has even referred to him as her brother. I remember the day she was born and how loving she has always been. I am so excited that our little guy will get to grow up with her and her brother and that they will get to be best friends. I can't wait to get Ashlyn's picture with our little man when he is born and see how tender and loving she will be to him. Too cute that little girl :)
Well Baby G. is growing. Kels-i-bels, MORE circles. I thought after the purple maybe we were done ;) I miss you. Lots. I was so super busy working 3 jobs that I feel like I took our time together for granted. Ugh. Want to visit Texas?
ReplyDeleteAww, so sweet about little Ashlyn! Shoot...I was going to say something else....but I forgot...I gotta go back and reread to refresh my failing memory...haha! Hmm, I still am having trouble. But I thought of something else. Congrats on the 3 hours of sleep! so good! And you look hot. And you should post pics of the cupcakes. You must show off your baking talents for those who can't sample them oversees. :) LOVES!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how far along you are either! He will be here before you know it. I hope I look as good as you when I get pregnant. :)
