To chop or not to chop is the question

So I have really been debating about chopping my hair off. BUT something inside me keeps telling me to wait until after baby boy is born, but I have the hair chopping itch and it just won't go away. So I thought I'd show you all 2 pics...one of my short hair and one of my current long hair and you all could maybe help me decide.
BTW this itch was made worse by checking out LeAnna's hot new momma haircut this morning.

Hubs and I one year ago. Sorry for the squinty eyes but this is the best one I could find of my short do.

Me at my shower in Topeka, with my hair these days

So what do y'all think? Keep it long or chop it now? OR wait until after baby boy arrives and cut it then? Also, did you check out that super cute card I got at my Topeka shower? It is one of those pop out ones, which the crib and mobile popped forward. So cute!
Oh and thanks for the advice on my last blog post, if you haven't checked it out feel free to leave comments if you have advice, even if you've never commented on my blog before.

  1. I'm normally always an advocate for long hair just because I love mine SO much and it takes so long to get long hair, but your hair looks adorable short! If you want it short again now, I'd just do it. But it's up to you =)

  2. I would say wait until after you have the baby if you're having doubts. However, if you are anything like me, I had the baby blues SO bad the first week or two that cutting my hair would have been detrimental to my well being. Ha! Either that or it wouldn't have mattered because I cried all day anyway. So. Go with your gut! You could always get it cut short at the end of summer. Or, you might like it shorter and easier to fix with a newborn? Either way, you will look fantastic.

  3. In honour of labor I would wait. A pony is wonderful for the aftermath that is childbirth. And I agree with LeAnna, the emotions afterward ARE ridiculous. And newborn newness mixed with new mommy, you have a lot to figure out, hair isn't one of them. But do whatever makes you feel hot and sexy and pretty. With a belly, thas important!!!

  4. I agree wait. As previously mentioned your hormonal state :) may cause you to regret the choice and having your hair pulled up for labor is another very valid point. I cut my hair when Lo was like 5 months old and ended up regretting it majorly. But again whatever you find easy and manageable should be your deciding factor, b/c styling is going to rank way down on your lists of important things to get done in a day Can't wait to see what you decide.
