Eight Squared

La tagged me in this little game!

Here are the rules:
1. Go to your photo files and select the 8th photo folder.
2. Select the 8th photo in that folder.
3. Post that photo along with the story behind it.
4. Then challenge 8 blogging friends to do the same.

Ready....set.....go!

This photo was taken in the beautiful Manhattan, Kansas. Where hubs and my alma mater is, Kansas State! When God led us back to the midwest one of the first places we wanted to visit in the fall was here. Funny, how our college holds so many memories and we look forward to visiting it whenever we can.

This particular picture is taken in one of our favorite spots, Tuttle Creek Dam overlook. It is so beautiful up there and so peaceful. I spent many of college days driving there spending some much needed time with the Lord. Which later found out this is also where hubs spent many days talking to God. So cool how He works! Anyway, we were up there looking out over all the beauty and decided to take a picture of all the tall grass. We took a bunch of pictures of the scenery up there and noticed days later that we have zero pictures of us from that trip! We have really got to get better at taking pictures that have our faces in them, because one day when we are all old and wrinkly we will want to know what we looked like on all the vacations we took :) Next trip to Manhattan will be with our little man, so I am sure there will be some faces in the mix!

Okay, so now I have to tag some people. I'll first start with my fellow K-State bloggers, as they can appreciate the beauty of Tuttle Creek and I'm sure they have many of memories there too!

1~ Amanda. She not only is one of my dearest friends, but she is an amazing photographer and currently is in South Africa and takes beautiful shots of the wildlife there! I am so excited to see what picture is in her folder and the story behind it.

2~ Lindsey. Another amazing friend from college that I have gotten to reconnect with through this blog world! She has such a fun blog and is always posting pictures and the story behind them, so I am sure she will have a great story behind the picture she post!

3~ Michele. I met Michele through our blogs and soon found out her and her husband are fellow KState grads... how cool is that?! She has a super cute little girl and post the most darling shots of her, I'm secretly hoping that this challenge leads to a newborn picture of her little one! She also shares about her marriage and family and what God is teaching her currently. Love to read about the lessons God is teaching her.

4~ Annie. I have known Annie since she was in Elementry School. My sister and her took swim lessons together, and her older sister and I were great friends in High school. I was so excited when I found out Annie was going to be at KState. She has since graduated and has an amazing blog of her awesome fashion sense. I really wish I could find the deals and cute things she does! She is constantly posting pictures of her outfits, where she found them, and how she perfectly matched nailpolish to it.

5~ Sam. He is an awesome photographer and has a great heart for God. I am really interested to see what picture will be in his file folder. Also, he is a K-State grad and practically my little brother, so he better participate! :)

6~ John. He has not updated his blog in over 2 months but when he does update, he reminds you of how great our God is. He is one of our best friends and the man who led me to Christ so many years ago. Sam is his younger brother, and John's whole family has become my family too. He is also very talented behind the lens, so I'm excited to see what picture shows up on here. Oh and John and I moved up to K-State at the same time, so he will definitely appreciate this picture of Tuttle, especially considering he would steal my husband from me many of days to go fish it.

7~ Laurisa. Another fellow KStater. Okay so again, she hasn't updated her blog in forever. BUT she just opened up an etsy store featuring some really cute baby things. I'm hoping she will start blogging again with all her new creations. Maybe this game will jump start her ;)

8~ Steph. So Steph is new to this whole blogging world, and is not a KState grad, but she does wear her purple pride during KState games and spent many of evening and afternoons at our house watching games with us. She even bought herself a KState shirt so she could match us during the games! She is hilarous and I'm sure whatever picture she post will have a super funny story behind it.

This post sure is long! If you made it to this part congrats... you should participate too even if I didn't tag you :)
