Random Thoughts

So I have been trying to think about what to blog about and honestly I have tons of ideas but they are all super random things. So instead of giving you all 5 completely random post I will just combine them all into one.

1.) Lately I have been singing the song, "weebles wobble but they don't fall down" in my head over and over whenever I am bending over, shaving my legs, doing yoga, getting a pot/pan out, etc. I think its my internal motivational song. This morning I caught myself singing it 4 times. I think I am ready to have our baby here with me so I don't seem so crazy singing ridicilous songs. BUT I will say I have yet to fall over doing any daily activity and I think this song has a lot to do with that :)

2.) I don't feel swollen at all but the last two days I have been unable to put my wedding rings on. For some
reason when I am out in public I imagine myself as one of the girls on the MTV show 16 and Pregnant. I am thinking about getting one of those fake diamonds out of the quarter machine just to have on my finger as not to be mistaken for a 16 year old. Or I guess I could go to claires (are they still around?) and get a little more realistic one.

3.) You all are so sweet! I seriously love reading your comments on my weekly baby bump update cause you all make me feel so good. I look at the pictures and wonder what happened to my girlish figure or where my belly button has gone but you all just tell me I look great. Thanks friends! And even if you are lying to me I still love hearing it ;)

4.) Is it bad that when little man moves around at night I yell to hubs "Hey the alien is moving again come check it out?" I mean I love our son and love the personality he has inside me but seriously if I could video his movements you all would think I had an alien about to pop out of me. He has figured out a way to stick all his limbs out at once and push his butt out too so it's like a bunch of lumps all over my belly that move very jerky. He also has made my belly into a complete square shape. It is quite impressive.

5.) The other day I was reading in 2 Kings. I was struck by the story of Elisha. There are 3 stories in particular that made me think of Jesus' ministry on earth. One is Elisha brought a dead boy back to life, Jesus did the same to a little girl. Second was Elisha fed 100 with a small pot of soup, Jesus fed 5000 with just a fish and some bread. Third was Elisha healed a man of leprosy, Jesus did the same. It made me even more confident that our God is the same God in both the Old and New Testament as He is today. But it also made me think, why is our faith so little in the Holy Spirit that we don't allow God to do these things today?
I shared this thought with our House Church and one of the guys told us a story of a group of 11 year old boys who were in a mountain with no food and winter was upon them. So what did they do, they prayed for goats. Not just prayers for their needs to be met or for some food, but for goats to come and provide for the winter. And what did God do? He rained down goats upon them. Literally, a herd of goats fell from a higher part of the mountain into the mouth of the cave they were in. God is still real! He is still moving! We just have to have faith like children to believe that God will do everything He has promised and said He can do.

So those are all the random things I have been thinking about lately. So whenever you all are unsure you can do something just remember the song "Weebles wobble but they don't fall down". Oh and let the Holy Spirit work in you... I am sure He has some great opportunities for all of us this week!

  3. Everyone told me to completely shave down there before birth, ha, I couldn't reach my toes AND it didn't matter in the end.

Well Kels, all babies at some point act CRAZY in the womb. I try to always use good words to Gooner. Like when she was standing in the bath tub and THROWING A FIT I wanted to scream, "You're DRIVING ME CRAZY!" But I don't because she's worth so much more than that. He's not an alien, he's a child of God and VERY excited about his Mommy!
