random rambles

Just a warning this is very random and may make no sense. I have been trying to get some post together for awhile but I am never able to form one coherent post, so instead of writing a two sentence post here are the things I have benn thinking about

~ I am starting to get very antsy to get out and enjoy the rest of summer. Yesterday it was 100* and I really wanted to put on my swimsuit and lay out by a pool, but then I realized I had a newborn who couldn't join in the fun and my body was in no shape to be sporting a itsy bitsy bikini. I really cannot wait until next summer when lil man is one and we can get a baby pool and play in it all summer long... well maybe I can wait on him growing up but I can't wait for summertime fun.

~ Yesterday was the first time I was able to wear non-maternity clothes and not feel still pregnant. Granted the pants were a few sizes bigger than pre-pregnancy and the shirt was a size bigger but I wore them and didn't feel like people were going to come up and ask me when I was due ;)

~ I still have 20 pounds to loss but I am shooting for 30. I think I may start the 30-day shred once my doc clears me for resuming activities. Any out there try it and love it? Or any other suggestions?

~ Hubs and I have begun taking lil gman on walks in his jeep stroller. I love this stroller! It is a jogging stroller and has a ipod deck so we can listen to tunes as we jog on down the block. No worries though I haven't been jogging yet just walking... our roads are too bumpy to take baby on a jog so I'm going to have to scoop out a new spot.

~ I have been wanting to get out to our garden and pick all the tomatoes and peppers that have come in but I feel weird leaving lil gman in the house alone asleep while I am out there. Irrational fear, probably.

~ When babes takes a nap I spend a good 20 minutes debating which thing needs done most... showering, cleaning, eating, or sleeping. Most of the time sleeping wins out. I am hoping that soon I pick a different opition so I our house doesn't fall to shambles and I smell nice every once in a while. It is hard not to sleep though. I love sleep :)

~ Babes is stirring time to go! Have a great Thursday everyone.

  1. I am/have done the 30 day shred, not for 30 day mind you...it kicks your behind for sure even on Level 1 and I consider myself in decent shape. But it is a good work and I love Jillian even though she makes me want to curl up in the fetal position and die. :) I have also tried her Yoga Meltdown, which I like it isn't "intense" or anything, but it gives you a nice "easier" workout and a nice switch up from the shred...I get bored easy.

  2. I had never heard of the 30 day shred before! I just looked it up. Looks intense but fun. I am sure you could do it if you just stay focused...and plan a reward for yourself at the end. It always helps me to have some sort of motivation. My goal post-baby is to run a race on the 4th of July, so I know that post-baby, I will need to work up to running (along with other work-outs). That run will be a reward for me! And by the way, congrats so far on the weight loss! I am sure you are looking great! And g-man certainly thinks you're the pertiest of all!

  3. lol, I like sleep too! It's so funny that you wonder are people exaggerating about the lack of sleep baby comes with until someone whom you trust says the same thing! But they do say that "sleep is overrated" :D

The Yoga Meltdown that Michele mentioned is a great alternative to the shred...

  5. That jeep stroller sounds amazing!

I've started the 30 day shred but haven't completed it yet. We should do it together via the internet! :)
