Hop on over to Carissa's blog and join in the Miscellany.
~1~ We were in a blizzard this weekend! The winds were about 60 miles an hour and the snow was blowing everywhere. Unfortunately though we only got about 4 inches of snow. Lame blizzard if you ask me. But it did get down to -25* with the windchill. Brrr.
~2~ With all the snow and cold this weekend I was able to finish almost all our Christmas shopping. Sometimes it takes a good ole' blizzard to get me motivated.
~3~ I found a great website with wooden toys for LB. (Hubs has been making some wooden toys for him but to take the burden off I decided to order a few from online)They sell their products at stores all over the US and even have a few online retailers. If you are looking for some good eco-friendly wooden toys for your kiddos I highly recommend checking Camden Rose out. Here's a picture of one of the toys we ordered
~4~ LB decided he wanted to grow up quick and skip the bottle completely. He now will only drink out of a sippy cup and of course from mommy. It is nice though to finally have another option of how to feed him so I can now leave him somewhere for more than an hour and not be afraid he will starve. Not that he would since he is well on his way to being a sumo wrestler but ya know just in case. Look how cute he is sipping away relaxing on his daddy.
~5~ Did I mention we finally confirmed LB's dairy allergy? I was gearing all up for a dairy day to test out his tolerance and by accident ate some chinese food with dairy in it. Who knew chinese food contained dairy? I didn't even think to ask, which I have been asking everyone at everyplace we go. I even asked a fast food place if they put dairy in their onion rings and then had to read the package of onion rings at the counter with a line of people behind me. Luckily it did have dairy in it so I didn't look like a total crazy lady. Oh the things we do for our kids. But yes, apparently peanut chicken has dairy in it from this one chinese restaurant and I have been subject to many spit up encounters this last week. And lots of liquid poo again. And the return of horrible eczema. Poor guy! BUT I am so glad we know for sure and can now have another discussion with our pediatrician about it on Wednesday to plan a course of action for our little guy.
Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!
Oh my goodness! That is MAJOR stinko. I'm so sorry for both you AND LB! What a bum deal. And go you for holding up the line and doing what is best for you guys.
ReplyDeleteThat is so great that he'll drink for a sippy! It took GG like forever to want to do this! Way to go, LB and Momma!
