Eight Months

LB turned eight months old on the 10th! Can you believe it? He is growing so fast.

LB,

You are 8 months old already! Time is flying by! You weigh a little over 21 pounds now and are a little over 28 inches tall (no doctor visit this month so mommy is just guessing). 

This month you have learned so many new things. You can crawl backwards when you want and also sometimes army crawl forward but you are such a master at rolling everywhere that you prefer to do that to anything else. You crack me up with how good you can roll and the places you get yourself. Just last week you rolled yourself under your crib and played peekaboo with me. It was so fun! You have also learned how to wave this month. It is so cute! You love to wave at everything. 

You have also begun to do things just to make me laugh. For instance, when you blow raspberries you will now bring your hand to your mouth and move it across your lips and just laugh and laugh at the sound coming out. You also get so excited when you hear the garage door open because you know it means Daddy is home. As soon as you hear it your eyes become wide and you start smiling and babbling up a storm. Once you spot daddy you wave your arms up and down and smile real big until he picks you up. Daddy loves that time of day!

You have become quite the good sleeper too. You go to bed around 8pm and sleep until 8am almost everyday. Then you will take a 45 minute morning nap and then random 30 minute catnaps the rest of the day. You love to eat. You are now eating 3 "meals" a day with at least one snack of puffs or baby mum-mums throughout the day. You also love to drink water from your sippy cup and if I forget to give to  you at a meal you will look all around the kitchen for the cup and stare at it until I bring it to you. So funny little guy! 

Your personality has begun to shine even more this month! You are such a happy little guy and love to smile and laugh and babble all day long. Mommy and daddy have started an album called the faces of LB because you make some of the funniest faces! You have even mastered the stink eye and love to give it to us when we are not playing exactly how you want. You love to play with blocks especially when mommy stacks them real high for you and you can come over and knock the tower down. Then  you sit there and wait for me to rebuild it high just to knock it down again. So funny! You also love to sit up and play with your toys or stand up propped onto something. Once you start walking I think we are going to have our work cut out for us as you already get into everything. So hold off on that walking for awhile please? Mommy isn't quite ready for you to grow up :)

Thank you LB for being the joy of our life. You make mommy and daddy so happy and we cannot imagine our family without you in it. You are such a little stud and we are so proud of you already. I cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for you as the years go on. We pray that you will always know who God is and will use your wonderful personality to shine the love of Christ into your friends. We love you!
