Monday Miscellany

~1~ This weekend was such a blessing. We had our dear friends Amanda and Ben in for a visit and their sweet baby girl Charlotte. Too bad I failed to take a single picture. But I think Amanda shot a few so I will be swiping those from her once they get posted :)

~2~ Most of our weekend was spent playing Pitch, which us girls dominated at and Settlers of Catan, which surprisingly I won both games without really knowing what I was doing. Oh yes and there was lots of baby play dates in there. LB tried to eat Charly a few times and she fought back with a good yank of his hair every once in a while. It was so fun to see them together and see what a difference 4 months makes.

~3~ Today will be spent working on our menu for the month and planning out shopping trips. I am half tempted to use January's menu so I don't have to do the work but I know I'd rather wait to reuse menus in the summer months when its beautiful outside and I don't want to sit in front of a computer.

~4~ This constant weather switch has meant many night have been spent in the steam room. AKA our bathroom with the shower turned as hot as it will go and LB playing with toys in his baby bath. Can't wait for the weather to pick a temperature and stay at it.

~5~ Last week I decided to play around with our camera and the sunshine. LB was such a good model. Here is my favorite picture of him. Don't you just love all his hair? If he was a girl it would be perfect for bows. :)

~6~ I have finally successful gotten LB to take his naps in his crib! The only downside is his night waking has gotten worse. I'm not sure if it is because of his stuffiness, my caffeine intake, or this new crib napping. So this week I am switching back to decaf in hopes that it cures the night waking. If I am MIA all week it is because I am trying to function caffeine less ;)

Hope you all have a great week! Can you believe it is March tomorrow? So much closer to springtime :)

  1. Congratulations on the nap success. Hope night time gets better soon. We're having some sleep issues here too. I'm dying to just be able to go to bed and sleep all night! I think maybe when our kids are 30 or something, we can have that again :)
