Little ham :)
LB,
You are 9 months old! It is crazy to think you have now been in the world just as long as you were in my belly! You have grown so much, you are now 21 lbs and 11 oz and are 30 inches long. You are quite the tall boy in the 93% for your age. You have slowed down quite a bit on your weight and now are only in the 70% for our age, instead of being off the charts ;) Daddy still calls you his little chunks though. We love your chubby thighs and belly. So very cute!
This has been quite the month for you. You got in your 6th tooth, then got a sinus infection, and now have an ear infection. Even though you had all these things happen you are still a happy boy. Smiling and laughing all the time. We love that about you. You really are the joy of our life. Even in sickness you still find time to smile and laugh. You especially love to flirt with all the ladies. Whenever we are out and about you make sure to smile at every girl that walks by. With all our doctor visits this month you had a fun time smiling and waving at the nurses. They even commented on how happy you were despite your high fever.
You have learned so many things this month too! For one you have learned to wave! You love to wave all day long now. You wave bye bye to daddy when he leaves for work, you greet him with a hello wave and you even wave at all your friends. It is so very cute! You also love to say dada now, you stopped saying mama all the time and instead want dada, especially at night, I wont complain ;) You have even say hi a few times while you wave. You are crawling around backwards like crazy now and you will even go forward as of this weekend. It is so fun to watch you crawl around and then look to mommy and daddy for claps and smiles. You little show off ;) This month you have also began loving standing. You want to be standing up on everything. You are even trying so hard to pull yourself up to a stand, especially in the bathtub. I think you are really going to enjoy walking once you figure it out.
You are eating so good now too and have really started to gravitate to self-feeding. You want to eat whatever mommy and daddy are eating and love finger foods. Mommy has got to stop making so many cookies as I can tell they tempt you. You still eat a lot of pureed foods but I think in the next month or so you will move on to mostly finger foods. You just haven't gotten the whole chewing before you sallow thing down yet. Many times I see you with chipmunk cheeks full of food and have to pull some of it out before you choke. I think its a game to you to see how much food you can stuff into those cute cheeks of yours. Your favorite food are sweet potatoes and squash. You also really like bananas, but I think you mainly like those because you can squish them all over the place ;)
Your personality has really shined through this month. You love to babble all day long and love to be the center of attention, I wonder where you got that from ;) You are constantly showing off for your daddy and love to be around him. Your dad has taught you which toy is your fish and loves to hide it from you just so you can pull it out and laugh with him. It is so fun to see that! You love to be upside down and turn all your toys upside down too. Whenever mommy leaves the room you will talk to me from the other room just to make sure I am still paying attention to you. You love to watch me cook and bake and will even bang pots and pans around too while I work. You also put everything into your mouth! I do mean everything. You have figured out how to get the doorstops off and I am constantly pulling them out of your mouth, you lick all the heating registers in the house, you bite on the fridge. Pretty much anything you can put into your mouth you do. It is quite funny and sometimes quite disgusting too ;) Mommy has had to really keep an eye on you and put up a lot of things so that you don't choke or hurt yourself with your curiosity. But I love watching you learn and experience new things. You get really excited when you find something for the first time and love discovering it and figuring out what it does. You also are quite sassy, again I wonder where you have got that from, and if you don't like something you give the funniest sass face. You make it very clear to mommy and daddy when you don't want to do something and will stick out that bottom lip or purse them together to tell us no way. Now that you have 6 teeth in you also love to bite everything. And when we tell you don't do that or no that hurts you smirk and turn away from us like you can't hear us. Little stinker ;)
Your sleeping this month has been hard. I think because of all the sicknesses you have had. But at least you have begun to nap in your cribs. Which is a huge blessing. Mommy has been able to get a lot done during that time. You have really begun to love your room and your alone time in your crib. Many days you will wake up and then play in your crib for 15 minutes or until I come get you. You have really begun to love being read to. And get so excited when I pull out a book to read to you. Your favorite book is The very Hungry Caterpillar pop-up. You love seeing the new pop-ups when I turn the page. It is so fun to see you anticipate what is coming up. You even let me finish a whole book now before you place it in your mouth :)
We love you LB! You are the joy of our lives and we are so blessed to have you in our family. We love all the new things you learn each month and love watching your personality develop. We pray God continues to mold you into the man you will become and that He helps mommy and daddy raise you in his ways.
Love you,
Mommy and Daddy
Such a cutie! I can't believe he's that tall, Q is like 3 inches taller than him and he's 2! We must be a bunch of shorties. ;) This stage is so fun, it's amazing how fast it sneaks up. A is 5 months old almost, which seems nuts! Slow down, time!
ReplyDeleteHe's sooooo cute! I love those facial expressions. And he's doing so many things. It's so much fun when they start to play and communicate more. And we must have a real small fry with Celia because she isn't much bigger than he is!
