Y'all I did it! I ran a 5K...which actually ended up being a 6K. It was much easier than I thought it would be and we had a perfect day for it. Slightly cool starting out but once we got running it was perfect. Best part is we didn't walk at all! Ran a pace of about 9'15" and only slowed down once because the cold caused my nose to run away and I had to catch it ;)
Here are some pictures to recap the event.
The start of the race....less than 100 people raced but it was great for my first one.
In pace with my sexy man
All and all it was a great race with 2 very fun people! Jen and I finished the 6K in 34'28" our 5K time was 28'33" (under our 30 minute goal)! Think I may start training for a 10K now...
Yay! That's great! And I just made those pumpkin muffins you posted the recipe for. Used white whole wheat flour to make them slightly more healthy :). They're really good!
ReplyDeleteShoot, that was you with the pumpkin muffins, right? Now I feel like it wasn't your blog and I'm maybe going crazy with pregnancy brain...
