Okay, so I figured I should get some pictures up of our decorations and crafty decor before the season has passed. Sorry to be such a bad blogger this month but with my mom here, all the crafting I am doing for Christmas gifts, and taking care of a sick kiddo I have been swapped. Please forgive these pictures I literally just ran around the house with my camera snapping them. My plan was to take them at night so you could see all the sparkle, but since I haven't done it yet I'm not sure it will get done and since I have the time right now I did it. Good news, my mom started a job today. Woohoo! It may only be a temporary job but she is working mornings for now. Which also means I will have a little more free time ;)
LB was running a 103* fever this weekend. Poor thing. Took him to the doctor, with fear that he was developing another ear infection, but praise the Lord it was just a virus and he is now all better. I think daddy deciding to celebrate Christmas yesterday gave LB just the energy he needed to kick the virus in the butt.
Now onto what I came to post. Decorations! Seriously, y'all I have so much fun decorating our house for Christmas and I kind of wish we had reasons to put up wintery decor all year :) Be prepared for picture overload...
Found these fun tree snow globe mason jars on pinterest
This shadowbox I came up with after finding a few favorites on pinterest. This one brought the most inspiration.
Here are a few of our favorite ornaments:
Manger scene made out of glass
LB's favorite. Peanuts "meaning of Christmas"
Seriously y'all this is the best ornament. See W proposed to me on a porch swing he built and our first year of marriage Hallmark came out with a porch swing ornament. Perfection!
Love this one we picked up in Branson a few years ago
One day I will spray paint these branches white.
Yarn Christmas wreath
If you have sent us a Christmas card it goes on display here. Right for everyone to see(Don't worry there is still room for more) ;)
Do you all like decorating for the holidays or do you find it too much?
Oh and in case you were wondering Chipotle now carries brown rice and it is delicious.
I see our Christmas card! :) Love all the decorations. Hopefully next year I will have more time to craft a few fun decorations too.
ReplyDeleteOh guess what, I got your voice mail TODAY! Yay for new phones and apparently transferring a voice mail from cyber space to my new phone. I felt like a winner! Your decorations are lovely! I bet it smells so good in your home too!
