Our advent scene looks quite different this year. See normally I display our Willow Tree advent. I love it. I love it so much that I could not bear to put it out and have LB break every single piece to smithereens. He is quite the destroyer and anything that looks fun to throw across the room and watch crumble into millions of pieces he is all for picking up and throwing. Not to mention he has quite the arm. So for this year and probably a few more to come this will be our advent display:
Not really sure what happened to this picture. Weird. And also not sure where the other 2 wise men are hiding. But the important thing is LB is learning all about Jesus coming to earth and how that changed the world. He loves going through the names of the animals, the angel, Mary, Joseph, and Jesus every time he sees it. After we go through the story of course he throws all the pieces or gently places them in the tree and tells them night night. Because apparently, the wise men and Holy family slept in Christmas trees.
So cute! We also love the Willow Tree advent.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how kids change things! I remember before Gooner when someone commented on the blog that our home would "change" and I was like WHATEVER. Um yah, it totally did!
