Week 29... a little late

Last week Wade and I had the opportunity to take a mini-vacay to KC, so I was MIA all week. Sorry for my lack of blogging and comment love. I promise I'll catch back up this week. We also had our 2nd baby shower for little guy on Saturday and I can't wait to post pictures from that too. He is one blessed and spoiled little man already! :) I failed to take pictures of my bump last week but have some exciting ultrasound pics from last Monday so I will post those in place of my bump, cause let's face it baby boy's face is much more exciting to see.

How far along? Last friday, I was 29 weeks 5 days




Baby is the size of a(n): At our appointment on Monday, he weighed in at 2lbs. 11oz. I don't remember what his length was but according to the world wide web he is about 15 inches long.

Changes in me: Not too many changes this last week. I am so blessed to have not had any swelling yet and hoping it stays that way. I try to drink tons and tons of water everyday so I think that is working.



Food cravings: Hamburgers, but this may be do to the warmer weather we are experiencing. :)



Sleeping: This was a bad week for sleep but I think it was due to the fact that we were in a hotel and I didn't have my pregnancy pillow or all the other comforts I'm use to at home. It also didn't help that I wanted to be outside and visiting people all the time so I wasn't resting at all during the day. Good thing I will have plenty of time this week to catch up.


Milestones: We got to see baby boy blink and wink at us a few times during the ultrasound. He also opened his mouth for us. So sweet to see that :) We got it all on vhs too, so maybe once we get it converted to dvd I will post it on here for all of you to enjoy. Although, it is like 10 minutes long but I could watch it over and over again :)

Babies activity: He still moving all about. He found his way up to my rib cage last week and has taken up home in there. But so far it has been more comfortable to me then his bladder residency so I will let him stay for awhile. During the ultrasound he was wiggling all about so the doctor was having a fun time trying to measure all his organs ;)


Interesting things that happened this past week: I feel like the bigger I get the less people are interested in grouping me and sharing information about pregnancy, which has been a nice break, but has me a little confused. I thought when it was more noticable there would be more random people touching and questioning. Don't get me wrong I love that random people are staying away I'm just thrown for a loop.
I guess though I did have one humorus encounter with a lady, which actually happened twice. I was getting off the elevator at our hotel as she was getting on and she asked me when I was due. I told her June 13th and she says "Oh really, that's great. I thought you were going to say tomorrow." Um really lady... i am not that huge. Then I notice that she herself is expecting and ask when she is due. She tells me May and is obviously bigger than me. I wanted to say oh really I thought you were 42 weeks along, but refrained and walked away. The next day I'm waiting in the lobby of the hotel and she walks by and again looks at me and asks when I am due, I stare at her for a minute and then she recognizes me and proceeds to share with me that yesterday she forgot she has a child who was born on my due date but was glad to run into me again to tell me that. Really? After you call me huge you want to continue talking to me. Too funny and I love the fact that she forgot she had a child on my due date.
