Sneak Peak

So we have been working like crazy on getting baby boy's room put together... but we still have a lot to do. We did get his changing table for free last night and will be painting it then getting it into his room this week. Thanks Steph for the great find! Seriously Steph, if it wasn't for you we would be cribless and changing tableless... so glad you are nannying for a family of toddlers that won't have babies again ;)

Luckily, I do have a few pictures of our progress on his room and hopefully each week I will be able to show you a different part of his room as we complete it. This week I'll show you his crib, as that is the only completed space in his room. Luckily, it is the place he will spend the most time at first.

His crib and the wall colors.
I'm not a pro at camera lighting so the green is a little yellow in this shot.

The soccer ball and baby pillow were baby boy's dad when he was little. too cute!

Cars detail on his quilt

And according to daddy, every little boy needs a NFL mobile. ;)
The wall color in this shot is much more accurate.

I'm hoping next week I will be able to show you his changing table. Then I will move around to the rest of the room. I can't wait to get the quilt and curtains that Grandma G (we're still working on what her grandma name will be... any suggestions?) is making for baby boy. She showed us the quilt at our shower last weekend and it is beautiful. She is one talented lady! We also went out and picked the curtain fabric together and I'm quite excited for them as they will be able to grow with little guy!

Hope you all enjoyed the sneak peak and are having a great week so far!

  1. It looks GREAT! Love the colors, and his bedding, absolutely adorable. Q's Grandma's names are: Grammie (my Mom), Nana (Hub's mom) and Gigi (for my grandma, Q's great grandma) and Grandpa names are Grampy and Poppy.

  3. Very cute! I think it all looks great and I can't wait to get to work on ours....although I will have to wait until December to do that. That's okay, I can still plan it out in my head, hehe!

And I think just plain old "GG" sounds good...for Grandma G....cute, not old sounding, but just right!

  4. I still can't believe you are preggers. I see your pics and think OH DEAR I want to BE WITH YOU. Bah humbug. I'd TOTALLY tell you BEFORE the bloggosphere if I really WERE blessed by another one. We go with Nana and Grandma, BUT I hear that lil ones are able to say gigi before the more difficult Grandma...so sometimes it sticks. Memere is French, but Nana is a French term as well so we let the Grandma's choose what they wanted and then ultimately baby G will choose. Love.
