Bedroom lock

Any of you watch Modern Family? When I first heard about the show I thought it sounded dumb and I said I would never ever watch it. But then a bunch of W's work friends loved it and we started hosting weekly get togethers with his work crew and I understood why everyone liked the show so much. There is a character in it everyone can relate to. Wednesdays night episode had be laughing out loud while I was trying to nurse LB and get him ready for bed. The whole episode was based around Phil and Claire's kids walking in on them in the middle of the baby making act. It was so hilarious. Because most of us have had the unfortunate scarring  act of walking in on our parents. I could share with you all many stories of how my siblings and I spent many nights wanting to gouge our eyes out, but I will spare you ;)
Watching the episode Wednesday though had me thinking, how am I going to handle this as a parent? I never thought about that before, but watching them stumble through talking to their kids about it had me thinking. Would I try to crack as many jokes as Phil did or will I just pretend it never happened? If you don't watch the show you should watch this past episode. It is too funny and shows you how awkward the situation is for both parents and kids. I think we all could learn a lesson from this show and buy a lock for our bedroom doors and use it well before this situation happens to us.
Did you all also know that one of the star characters went to my alma malter? Yep he did and the whole cast made a video wearing their KState gear to kick off our basketball season. Here's the video, straight from YouTube..its a few minutes long but quite funny. Enjoy!
