For the past month I have been the dishwasher in our family. See our dishwasher broke and we didn't want to charge it causing us to get in debt. So instead we waited. And started saving. At the rate we were saving though, we wouldn't get a new one for a year ;) Mostly, because other things kept coming up and we would have to use money for that. And also because we are awful at saving. But that is besides the point. This past weekend we were blessed with an early Christmas gift in form of a dishwasher! My wonderful in-laws took pity on my hands and came up last weekend to surprise us and help us install the brand-new dishwasher!
LB helping take out the old one
Pausing to find a stud (psst...he is to your right LB)
another break to take a phone call...
helping with the last touches on the new dishwasher.
Funny story, I never did get a picture of the new one installed. Apparently, we got a dud and the mother board on it is broke. So they are coming to fix it in the next week or so. I guess when you try to celebrate Christmas early santa gets a little mad ;)
In any case, I am so very thankful for this gift! It is going to make my days so much easier and save my hands from drying out even more in this cold weather. Until then I will continue use the awesome paisley gloves a dear friend gave me. They really do make dish washing more fun :)
stud finder joke is always funny! So glad you got a dishwasher! I had to wash dishes by hand for 2 days when ours broke right before we moved so we had no choice but to get a new one. So I admire you all for doing that! We are no good at saving either. :/
