Okay, so I am a week late on this post. It is my goal by his 1 year birthday to have at least one post fall on his actually day of birth... we will see though as I have a bad track record as of now:) Oh and I am working on answering all of your wonderful questions I plan on posting them next week, maybe in a series of 2 post. Now on to LB.
He was squirming all over the place so my angle is off but he is so cute in this one I had to share :)
Dear LB,
You are 3 Months old now! We can hardly believe it! You are growing nice and big. We weighed you on the scale the other day and you are approximately 17.5 lbs! We aren't sure how tall you are but you are getting too long for most of your 3-6mo pants! I can't believe you are already wearing some 6-9mo clothes. I keep asking you to stop growing up so quick but you just smile at me and keep going :)
This month you have started to do big belly laughs! Mommy and Daddy love that. You laugh the most when one of us surprises you or makes a silly face at you. You are also getting much better at lifting your head and supporting it yourself! You still prefer your right side but that is slowly fading and many nights we find you laying on your left side in the crib. This makes as happy cause it means you won't have such a big flat spot. You are sleeping about 8 hours a night, which makes Mommy and Daddy much more energetic during the days.
You love to play on your floor gym and have started using some of the toys to pull yourself to your side. You also love to coo and babble. All day long you are making noises at Mommy, Daddy, your toys, your crib, and really anything you can make contact with. You have even been known to laugh in your sleep :) I think once you learn words you are going to be a non-stop talker like your Mommy.
This month we have noticed you are growing just like your Daddy. We looked over his baby book and he too was a rather large baby it seems you are following right in his footsteps :) We have also noticed that you love to wiggle! Whenever we change you, you begin to throw your arms up and kick your legs all over the place making it very hard for us to get a diaper on or off you, but don't worry we are bigger ;) I think you think it is a game because the more we try to change you the more you wiggle and those wiggles soon turn into laughter and coos.
I am starting to realize you are no longer an infant but a baby now. You have so many facial expressions and so many noises! You are also very particular about what toys you like and how you nurse. You also will only nap in your swing or in Mommy and Daddy's bed with one of us laying with you. If we try to put you in the crib or anything else you just wake up and laugh. It is quite cute but we are hoping it's just a phase and that eventually you will enjoy your crib during the days too and not just at night!
You are such a blessing to Mommy and Daddy and we love watching you grow this month into your personality! We love when we bring you into your room and are at the changing table and you look up at the verse "For He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways" Psalm 91:11 and once we read it to you, you smile. We know that you are in God's hands and that He will guide you in His way. It helps Mommy and Daddy worry a lot less knowing that God is watching over you!
Love you,
Mommy and Daddy
He's a doll!
ReplyDeleteI see you, Kelley in this photo of LB. I think it's the smile and eyes, I'm not sure exactly what, but I definitely see you. He is so adorable. I can't wait to meet him and introduce him to our girl! Can you imagine them next to each other? Ha! I can't wait!!! Love you my dear!
