6 Months!!!

Can you believe LB is already 6 months old? Time has truly flown by!

 Six Months

LB,

You are the sweetest little boy! We are so blessed to have you in our family. The doctor says you are 19lbs and 13oz. and 27 1/2 inches long! You have slowed down and now are in the 85 percentile for your age. We think you are just perfect!

This month you have accomplished so much! You have your first 2 teeth in and absolutely love to gnaw on things now that you have two sharp daggers :) You now freely roll from back to tummy and tummy to back. You roll all over the living room and often times I find you stuck under the tree or against the couch. You sit up all by yourself now and love to sit and stare out the window and watch the snow fall. You have also begun to make motions of crawling, but you have yet to figure out exactly how to do it. You will get your butt clear in the air and move your legs about but you haven't quite figured out how to get your arms involved. I know soon though you will be crawling all around the house. But you can wait a little longer on that, mommy isn't quite ready for you to be that big.

You love to play with your daddy and will often crack up laughing at the sound of the garage opening because you know that means daddy is home to play with you. You love to touch his face and figure out what all that scratchy stuff is on him and when he shaves it off you rub his face even more. It is so sweet to watch you love on your daddy. You are so interested in the world! Whenever we are out you just look around at everything and soak it in, we can tell you are learning by the look on your face. You love to observe everything and when we are at a new place you sit so quietly trying to figure everything out. I think you may end up loving science as much as your daddy. It is so fun to watch you learn!

You are now sleeping through the night! Mommy and daddy are so very happy about this. You often want to go to bed at 7:30pm and will stay asleep until daddy gets up for work around 6am. Then you are nice to mommy and go back to bed until 8am. You are also now eating 2 "meals" a day. You love carrots, peas, sweet potatoes, and bananas. Most fruits you turn your nose up to but you will finish off a whole serving of vegetables and want more. You also hate oatmeal and rice cereal no matter what I mix with it. Which, I don't blame you it does not taste very good. You have also started to help mommy feed you and often take the spoon clear out of my hand and will feed yourself then drop the spoon so I can add more food only to take it off me to feed yourself again. You have become quite good at getting the spoon to your mouth but sometimes you smear the food in your eyes. I think you may do it on purpose because you crack up laughing afterwards.
