Blogger seems to be acting up, which means I can't upload pictures and share with you all LB's one year/smash cake photos so instead you all get random happenings in my life. Excited? ;)

1.) I am sad to say this but our new neighbors are so far much worse than our previous. Our last neighbors were great people, they just had an annoying dog. These new neighbors have an even more annoying dog who sits outside for hours barking, especially when LB is playing out there. AND to make it worse whenever the neighbors are outside they are on their cell phones so we never get a chance to make friends with them. Plus they have a 9 month old girl and are never outside with her so I can't bring LB over and make baby friends with them. So strange. Did I mention I made them cookies when they moved in from scratch and they still dont want to be my friend? 

2.) This past weekend I decided to start canning. Our strawberry patch is overflowing and I didn't want to let all the berries go to waste or sit frozen in our freezer so I decided to make strawberry jam and can it. Oh my, homemade jam with vine ripe strawberries is to die for. I seriously have almost finished off a jar myself. I even had to make up homemade buttermilk biscuits to go along side the jam. Delish! And canning, so much easier than I ever imagined. Seriously, its super easy. I am doing a canning party with our house church ladies next week, maybe we will take some step by step photos and I'll post them here so you can see how easy it is and join in on the canning fun :)

3.) Our anniversary was wonderful, thanks for the congrats. We went out to dinner Friday night without LB and then had time for coffee and dessert and watching the storms roll in at a near by park. On Saturday the MIL came up and watched LB for us in the afternoon. W had planned a wonderful afternoon of finding new favorite places for us to go and then we got some shopping in before returning home to a well rested baby.

4.) I have started the process of weening LB. Let's be honest here, I am no good at it. He bites hard when he doesn't get his way so my arms are starting to look like a piece of meat. After about the tenth bite I give in and set us back another day on the process. Plus he won't drink milk, unless I make it into a smoothie for him. Stubborn child I have here. Advice is more than welcome :)

5.) LB's bottom molars are coming in. I see them now and oh boy do they look painful! Poor kid can hardly sleep with these suckers coming through. I am guessing his fight to ween has something to do with these pearly whites. Hopefully they will bust their way through quickly. Molars are definitely the worse teeth to come.
