Zoo days are here and this kid loves the aquarium
He could have stared like that all day. He loved watching all the fish swim by him. I think next time we go to the zoo I will take him to this exhibit first.
Completely unrelated to this post but please say a prayer for my family. We lost my Great Aunt on Sunday and she really was an incredible woman. I think of the legacy she left and it is one of unrelenting love. She loved people like Jesus calls us to but we so often don't. She was 90 years old so we knew this day would come but I was hoping it would happen after we visited this summer so she could meet LB.
Long story short but she let my cousin, the one with 5 babies from 5 different men, live with her and she raised her kids. My great Aunt never complained and just showed those children the outpouring of Jesus. She loved them, cared for them, and most importantly tried to shield them from the world their mom participated in.
When my Great Aunt went into the hospital about a month ago my cousin lost all her kids to social service except her oldest who is now in jail for shooting someone. It is such a sad story but laced with the love only Christ can provide through my Great Aunt. My prayers are now for my cousin who so desperately needs to wake up and see there is so much more to this world. That Christ came to set us free from the bondage of death and lies and destruction. Her story often makes me think back to Gomer and how lost she was. How desperate she was in need of a savior. My Great Aunt started the path to saving her but only the awakening in Christ can complete it. Please pray for that. Please also pray for my family. My Great Aunt touched so many of our lives and will live quite the hole in our family.
The great news is I will see her in heaven again and she is now safely resting in the arms of Jesus out of the pain of this earth. And really there is nothing sweeter than that.
Wow, what a blessing your Great Aunt was! Your family will definitely be in our prayers.
