Crazy days

Sorry I haven't been posting much recently. My days either start with a knock at the door from my mom or a toddler trying to escape his room. Don't get me wrong I love having my mom here, we do lots of shopping and fun outings but some days I miss the quiet we had. The way I could spend all day in my pjs if I wanted to and LB and I could just play at home all day with no cares. My mom is one of those people that always has to be busy. Always has to be on the go doing something. I am the opposite. I love staying home I love a quiet house. I love having no agenda. We are adjusting to say the least. Praying she finds a job to help her rid her energy and provide the income she desperately needs.
The good news is they are not living with us but in an extended stay down the road. And her boyfriend of 7 years just started a job yesterday. Hoping that takes some of the stress away from my mom and that they soon find an apartment to live in.
LB is growing leaps and bounds right now. He is like a sponge. It amazes me each day watching him become a little man. He runs around making car and train noises all day. He has learned so many words lately too. His most recent word is meatball. But he grunts the ball part so it sound more like meatbraaaalll. It is so cute. I should probably sit him down and video him saying all his words just so you all can hear them. He cracks me up.
Pinterest has also stolen all of my free time. If you haven't jumped on the pinterest bandwagon I recommend you run far away. It will suck you in with all its neat crafts and recipes. Soon I will post some pictures of my recent crafty projects. You all may thing Martha Stewart has taken residence in my house ;)
Honestly though we are doing well. Staying super busy keeping up with a toddler and a mom who sometimes acts like a toddler is enough work for me. I joke with my mom that I am going to start charging her a baby sitting fee ;) It has been a huge blessing having her near. She comes over and watches LB while I cook and clean and craft away. We run to every store in the area searching for the best deals and she makes me laugh all the time. She really is hilarious.
Well LB just woke up so that is all I have for now! Hope you all are enjoying your finally day of November. Hopefully I will get back to posting again soon but until then I will probably be swamping this blog with recipes and pictures. Speaking of pictures a deer ran across our backyard today! I'm hoping to snag a picture of him this week.

  1. I feel for ya, sister. I'm sure you do enjoy your Mom's company, but I know how it is to have your routine and normal quiet disturbed...it gets old. Praying you'll be able to handle her with grace, and that it doesn't get to that point. God's forever growing us up, isn't He?
Glad to hear all is well. Can't wait to see some of your craftiness!

  3. I so know what you are going through. When we moved out of my parents house I was SHOCKED how much TIME I had! CRAZY... I miss talking to you though. Maybe we can have a phone chat before D-Day? Let me know! Maybe on Christmas Day when you have nothing to do...? ;)
