16 Weeks :)

Monday we had our 16 week appointment. It was so exciting hearing our little one's heartbeat again... the heartbeat is 140 :) This also was my first appointment in which she measured my belly! She even said look at your cute baby bump! I am so blessed to have such a sweet doctor. Not only is she sweet but she is also a Wildcat!! Let me tell you, living in husker land it is always refreshing to find another wildcat especially one who hangs their Wildcat flag with pride! She saw my K-State tshirt and immediately a bond was formed plus her and Wade get along great since they can talk science and all. Another plus, she goes to the same tea shop as me so she was able to approve all my teas that I drink. I am sure glad she is our doctor :)

Here is a different picture of my belly.... Wade says my hands make it hard to see. I don't think so but maybe this will help you all cast your vote for boy or girl baby g :)

The last few weeks have been going great. I don't feel sick all the time anymore and I am able to eat a lot more. I may be able to eat too much but its okay the baby needs it right? ;) The only real problem I have been having is my hands. They are dry and itchy all the time.. I've bought 6 different lotions, use aloe gloves on my hands at night, wash them in cooler water, but nothing is really helping. I dont think this freezing cold weather helps with the dryness but man I do wish someone had warned me about this part of pregnancy. I guess though if this is the worse symptom I have I can handle it.

In 11 days we get to have our sonogram to find out the sex!! I can't wait :) Everyone has been making their guesses as to what sex they think the baby will be but I am withholding my vote. So, what do you all think baby G will be?

  1. I'm voting girl because I want to see just how pink you can make that nursery. :)

Make sure you are drinking a ton of water, that can help with the hands. The baby is sucking all the fluid in your body to itself, so sometimes hands can be itchy from dehydration. I had itchy hands like that with Joshua, it sucks, I know!

Glad to hear all is going so well!! Way excited for you guys!

  2. I would like for you to have a girl, but I have this feeling that it's a boy for some reason. Either way...you will have one spoiled baby! :D
