Week 28

Loving that spring has seemed to arrive! Made this week so much easier to get things done. I think something about having the windows open and the fresh air coming through the house makes it so much easier to get things cleaned up. And we are finally getting the nursery put together... I'll post some pictures soon of that progress. But the most exciting thing that is coming together this week is our kitchen! It is all painted, the new fridge arrives today, and hopefully the pantry will be done by Sunday.... so I will be able to show you all the new and improved space soon. Can't wait to have that done and get our dining room cleaned back up :) Now on to bump pictures and the weekly recap:

I decided I'd try one this week of holding the bump... not sure it looks as good

How far along? today I am 28 weeks and 5 days




Baby is the size of a(n): Chinese cabbage... not sure how that looks different than a regular cabbage but he is about 15 inches long and weight about 2.5 lbs!


Changes in me: My gums have started to bleed alot when I brush my teeth...I'm thinking it is time to switch back to a regular toothbrush for awhile, but I really love my electric one so maybe I'll just switch back and forth. Heartburn has also returned and this time it is way worse. I can't eat any of my favorite things without feeling like my throat is on fire. I just have to remind myself its only a few more months.


Food cravings: Pinapple. I had to have hubs go out one night at like 10 to get me some. I think this weekend I will buy a couple of them and cut them up so I wont have anymore night time runs for him.


Sleeping: Well between all the bathroom breaks I am sleeping a little better, and it seems he has let off my bladder for the week so I've had a few less bathroom runs. Hopefully this will last a little longer.


Milestones: Baby boy's eyes are now partially open and he can blink. He also has begun having REM sleep... maybe that is why he is off my bladder sometimes.



Babies activity: He is moving all around and rolling his knees and elbows on me. It is quite fun! He also is getting hiccups alot now, especially at midnight.



Interesting things that happened this past week: This week has been pretty uneventful. The only thing that is coming to mind is when I was setting up the crib I had to bend over to put the sheets on and everytime my belly hit the side lil guy decided he didnt like his space being touched so he would kick really hard at the crib through my tummy. I was laughing which I think made him less happy cause then he turned the kicks to my bladder. We have quite the character in there ;)
