In other news, my car is dying. I was driving it home from meetin a friend for starbucks happy hour... Which if you haven't heard or gone yet, until this Sunday they have 1/2 price frappucinnos from 3-5pm. Thank the Lord I know longer work there... I couldn't imagine all the teeny bopper maddness that happens during that time. AND the new way they make them is so much more tasty but I would probably quit if I was the barista making all the customized drinks. Lucky for you and I though we just get to go in and get them 1/2 price and not have to worry about the drama behind the counter. Sorry for the bunny trail.. back to my car drama. So I am driving home and all of a sudden my car starts violently shaking. At first it seems as if my car is getting stuck in a gear, but then it is shaking even at stops and when I'm going. Everytime I came to a stop I was praying the car would keep going because my bladder was about to explode and I didn't want to be stuck in a busy intersection with wet pants and everyone honking. Luckily, I made it home. But this morning hubs decided to take the car to work and then to the mechnic, he calls a few minutes into the trip and informs me it is going straight to the mechnic doctor. I really hope it is a quick and cheap fix. We are in the process of saving up for a new to us car and putting money into my poor car will not help me get a new one sooner. Let's just hope that baby doesn't decide to come into the world this early while we are a one car family.
Do you all have a dream car? When I was a little girl I always loved corvettes. Weird I know, I sounded like an older man going through a midlife crisis but I just loved them! I was such a
BTW have you all seen the commerical for the Toyota Sienna? They totally crack me up! Especially the one when the mom leaves her diaper back on the roof and is thinking the cops are hitting on her. I would totally do something like that, except I don't use a diaper bag yet or have a sienna. But if I did get a minivan that one is slowly becoming my top pick. I think the commericals are tricking me into thinking it is a cool car.
That's all I've got friends. Have a great day!
Kelley...you all should look at Chrysler Pacifica's...that's what I have and I absolutely LOVE it! We bought it from the Stroia's way before we knew we were having a baby and I'm so glad God knew what was coming down the line because it will be perfect for us. It seats five very comforably and there's room for like three strollers plus some in the back (not that I ever intend to have three strollers in the back of my car at one time...just seemed like an appropriate visual)...it's a crossover, so it's an SUV but has the room of a mini-van. Ok, anyways, I LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteI definitely love the crossover vehicles. My hubby wouldn't buy a mini van if it was the last thing left on the planet. :P Q's nursery didn't have a theme, either. He had barnyard animal bedding, and the rest was a hodge podge of rustic stars and pictures of farm animals. I know this girl who did all disney princess stuff for her newborns nursery and I just can't help but think that it'd get really old looking at that all the time. So, I'm with ya! So glad you didn't pee your pants, btw. And thanks for the heads up about Starbuckeroonies. I have a $10 gift card that needs spent, and what better way to make it stretch. :)
ReplyDeleteNo, you are not the only one with a nursery lacking a "theme".
ReplyDeleteAfter "Do you know what you're having?" and "When are you due?"
"What's the theme of you nursery?" was the most asked question.
To which I answered " Um, Is white a theme?":) And I confess, though I had grand plans of making it more of a baby room after the baby was born (then I would know whether to make it girly or boyish) the room is still WHITE and lacking a theme!
Oh well. I have better things to do with my time. Like hang out with our little darling! :)
Q and I rented a minivan to get to our wedding and I loved it. I would totally get one 100% against my better judgment. Q on the other hand would not be caught DEAD buying one.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a theme. She's a baby, she doesn't need a theme. Themes can get expensive. :)
That's awesome! Those commercials crack me up too. I also like the VW van commercials too. Slug bug! Those are pretty sweet minivans.
ReplyDeleteWe are in the process of picking out our second car too. We've been looking for like a year and still haven't made a decision. UGG!!
