I am really lovin this miscellany monday over at Carissa's blog. So fun and so fitting after a weekend of randomness. Lovin the new button this week too!
1~ At the farmers market this week I fell in love with a new vendor. They sell cotton candy and not just any cotton candy but over 30 flavors! This week I tried Chocolate Strawberry and the m.i.l. got Pink Lemonade. Both flavors were so yummy. I'm hoping this upcoming Saturday they have Key Lime Pie and Toasted Coconut on hand.
2~ So on Friday I added a poll to my blog to guess when lil man will arrive. Then hubby informed me I didn't use the < and > correctly! I thought I was good at math as a kid but slowly am realizing I must have slept through most of that class too. Good thing he is super smart and is able to correct my errors. So if you voted last friday on it I redid the poll and you should vote again. Or if you haven't voted then great you will be able to read it correctly now ;)
3~ We are now officially all ready for lil man to arrive! We finished up his room this weekend and bought all the last minute items. Including his name letters to put up after he is born. I love having this little secret between the hubs and I. Although our family is going crazy about it, we are enjoying having one piece of this pregnancy secret. BUT I should inform you blog world we will not be announcing his name on here.... but we will come up with a super cute nickname for him to use on here.
4~ "Be still and know that I am God" Psalm 46:10. This is the verse we have above the windows in our living room. It is such a great reminder to me to lay everything before God each day and know that HE is in charge. Sometimes being still is the hardest thing to do but really the only thing we can do to live how God wants us to.
5~ Nesting has kicked in big time. On Friday I was wiping up the kitchen and in the process noticed that one of our burners on the oven was dirty, so I decided to take it out and clean it. Since I was getting one out to clean I decided I should just clean all four. Well once those were out I could see that the underneath side was also dirty and decided to scrub that part out too. I then cleaned the hood of the oven, the backsplash in the whole kicthen, and scrubbed the kitchen sink. I then walked into our bathroom and realized how cluttered our countertop was. So I took everything off and started throwing away things, once everything was off I decided I should scrub the sink out and clean the mirror. Which led me to look down at the space between the shower door and floor. So I scrubbed that too. I then proceeded to sweep all the wood floors in our house and vaccumm the whole house too. I guess this whole nesting instict thing is true.
Hope you all enjoy your Monday! It's suppose to be 90* here again today so I'm thinking I'll be hanging out in our air conditioned house wishing we had a pool or lived by the beach.
