Head on over to Carissa's blog and join in the fun!
1~ The day after I posted the recipe for that wonderful roasted vegetable soup, I came to realize g-man doesn't tolerate tomatoes. Eek! I thought he was going to be my little italian baby. I have had a few moments of silence over this but I am hoping it is just a phase cause his italian momma can't go too long with her tomato fix. Although if I need to I will because I did not like having a super fussy baby who would refuse to eat for hours. That was no fun.
2~ The other day we were doing tummy time and g-man was lovin it! (Normally this is an activity he hates to do and will cry the whole time while kicking his feet.) He is doing so good at getting his head up. I snap a picture on my cell phone so it's not the best but here you have it...
3~ To combat my lack of tomatoes in my diet I have switched to iced decaf coffee. I am in love with almond milk and cinnamon in it. So yummy!
4~ Friday night hubs and I took g-man on a walk around the lake near our house. It was a beautiful night and we couldn't pass getting out and enjoying one day without all the gross heat. Unfortunately though,on our way back to the car I pulled my back. Seriously I don't get how it happened as I have been wearing 14 lbs of g-man on me all day everyday and haven't hurt myself and I go to sit down and I pull my back out. Needless to say I didn't start the 30-day shred this weekend. I am hoping to start it this week though.
5~ A new frozen yogurt shop has popped up in our neighborhood. It's called Red Mango and is so delicious. The best part is they charge by the ounce. Only 39 cents an ounce. And each ounce only has 20 calories. Bad part is I always fill my cup way too full and end up paying around five bucks for it. But its because they have so much fresh fruit to put on top that I end up filling half my cup with fruit. If you all have a Red Mango in your area you should check it out. Even if you don't think you like yogurt (like my hubs) you will enjoy this kind. He actually was the one who suggested we go there the past 2 weekends.
6~ Saturday night we moved g-man out of our room and into his crib. He did awesome and only woke up once at night to be nursed. But then last night he decided to wake up every 3 hours. Hoping it was just a one time thing.
Okay, well g-man just woke up so I better go take care of him and all this laundry I've been accumulating. Have a happy Monday!

When I was nannying I found that baby's like tummy time more if you prop them up on your nursing pillow. That way they can see things, and not just the ground. Maybe then G-man would like it all the time?
ReplyDeleteThat Red Mango sounds yummy!
I love that picture, so adorable! My little guy doesn't like tomatoes either, can't blame him, when I was his age, I didn't like either. I think eventually they grow out of it.
ReplyDeleteAlmond milk, my fave too!
Yes, Red Mango reminds me of Pinkberry that we have in Cali. I LOVE it!!! I'm almost addicted, lol. Wow, he is now in his crib! What a big step for him :)
ReplyDeleteWe have a Red Mango here but I haven't tried it! Hmmmmmmmmmm. Maybe that will have to be next on our list!? Oh I love your updates! It makes me feel like you aren't SO FAR AWAY! He's growing!I can't wait to see him...someday!
ReplyDeleteI love babies on their tummies. Little G-man is too cute!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry about your back. I hope it is feeling better soon.
