5 Months

FIVE MONTHS. Can you believe LB is already five months old and that I am actually getting this post up on time? ;)

I could just eat him up and those chubby cheeks (and arms and thighs)

LB,
You are five months old today! It seems like just yesterday you were in my belly rolling around and now you roll all about in our house. Although you still haven't mastered the belly to back but you are quite good at the back to belly and love to show off how good you are by constantly rolling to your belly. You weigh in at about 19.5 lbs and are getting so long. You are mostly in 6-9 month clothes and some of the pants are getting too short already. But your growth has slowed down a bit so maybe you won't be a giant after all ;)
You have started eating solids this month and so far your favorite food is pears. Whenever we feed you them you get so excited and "help" us get the spoon to your mouth. We love how much you enjoy sitting in your highchair and being apart of family dinners. You love to just watch mommy and daddy eat and sometimes you even reach out and try to take our food. Soon enough you will be sitting with us eating the same things.
This month you have begun to love standing up with help from mommy and daddy. It seems like whenever we are playing on the floor you want to stand up and be at our level. You also love to sit and play with your toys or just look around and "talk" to us. We love hearing you babble on and on. You also have begun getting laughing fits, especially when mommy and daddy blow on your neck or belly. You will just laugh and laugh and sometimes you even try to blow on our necks! We love those times.
You are able to go about 10 hours a night between feedings and go to bed around 8pm and wake up at 7am, except now that daily-saving has come you want to get up around 6am. We are hoping  you adjust soon to the change. You love to move all about in your crib and often times mommy and daddy come in to find you sideways asleep. You are one silly boy!
We have been so blessed this month to see more of your personality come through. You are so happy and love to smile all day long but you definitely like having some alone time and if mommy doesn't give you enough you are sure to protest with screaming and flailing about.  Most days you are content with just having some time alone on the floor to just look around and explore the world around you. We love how observant you have become and how you want to touch everything around you and know what it is. We love being your parents and thank God daily for the blessing you are and the boy you are becoming.
Love,
Mommy and Daddy
