Ten Months

I have a 10 month old. He is a full grown toddler now. I don't really know the age one is suppose to be a toddler but in my books LB is definitely one now. Crazy to think he was just a newborn and now he is a toddler. Quick, someone near me have a newborn soon so my baby fever goes away. Please?

LB,
You are 10 months old! You are now about 23 pounds and 31 inches tall. You are quickly outgrowing all your 12 mo clothes but luckily it is warming up so I can put you in shorts and no one notices the highwaters of pants you have ;) You are starting to thin out with all the movement you are doing and it makes me a little sad to see those chubby thighs disappear.
How much you have changed this month! Not only are you crawling full speed everywhere, you are also pulling yourself to a stand and cruising around every object you can. You also have mastered getting to a sitting position from laying down. All day long you constantly want to use my fingers to stand up with and then want to practicing walking up and down the hallway. I am interested to see how long it will be until you take your first steps alone. You seem to be taking after your daddy and wanting to master a new task very quickly after you learn another one. So we shall see.
You have also become quite the eater this month. You have 3 meals a day and 2 snacks.  You love puffs and yogurt melts. Did I mention you know longer have your dairy allergy? That was great news to hear from the doctor and it seems you have taken to dairy quite well! You love cheese and yogurt. It is so fun now going out to eat with you because you will just sit in a highchair and munch on bread, cheese, or whatever mommy and daddy are eating.  You really are not a fan of "baby food" but would rather have whatever we are eating. Just last night you were devouring bbq chicken and kept wanting more. I guess its time for mommy to figure out a healthier way to make that ;)
Your personality is shining through more and more. You really are such a happy baby smiling and laughing all the time. You love to wave at everyone when we are out and about. You also are quite curious and point at everything and say "dat" until we tell you what it is. It is so fun watching you learn. I think you are going to be like your daddy and want to learn how everything works. You are constantly turning things over and finding the screws or figuring out how to pull things apart. We are borrowing a walker from one of your friends and as soon as we brought it home you flipped it over and figured out how to release it from a stand. Silly boy :)
You love the outdoors too. Whenever we are out there you are laughing and smiling constantly. You love to watch your daddy work in the garden and try to help by pulling up weeds and throwing dirt everywhere. You even tried to eat a worm the other day. I can tell my hands are going to be full this summer keeping up with you!
We love you sweet boy! Thanks for being the joy of our lives and for constantly reminding us how great our God is. Daily we praise God for you and the blessing it is to be your mommy and daddy!
Love you,
Mommy and Daddy

  1. 10 months already! Seems like just yesterday we were waiting for you to pop. :) And I think he counts as a toddler...he is the same size as my 2 year old daughter, so for your sake I hope he walks soon. (not that my daughter's size is anything worth measuring other kids too, she is very small for her age. :) ) and I am pretty sure her little bro is going to pass her in height in just a few months! HA! Enjoy these days these are the fun ones!
