Dumb Statements

So lately, I have been having tons of people come up to me to share with me their views and opinions on pregnancy. Don't get me wrong.. I love to talk baby and love talking about being pregnant. I HONESTLY love this stage of life! I love seeing my belly grow as the baby does and I love all the other things that come with pregnancy. Seriously, I get excited when I see a new vein appear or a new symptom come on. Weird I know but it helps me know the baby is in there developing properly :) But lately I have been hearing some pretty dumb things come out of people's mouth... things you shouldn't ever say to a pregnant lady, so I thought I'd share a few with you guys:

"Wow, you look huge today! I thought you were only __ weeks along."
"Oh your __ weeks along, I know someone who lost their baby at that time."
"Congrats on your pregnancy but did you hear that so and so just lost their baby and they were __ weeks"
"You know your baby is only __ big... so you really don't have to eat THAT much"
"When my mom was pregnant her fingers got so fat that she had to get her rings cut off her finger"
"When my sister was pregnant she only gained 10 lbs... how much have you gained so far?"
"I didnt have to wear maternity clothes til 22 weeks are you sure your not having twins?"

Haha. Oh man, I love how blunt people are. Really when they say these things I laugh and remind them not every pregnant woman is the same and sometimes I feel the need to share the statisics on miscarriages or other things. I also love asking them how old their friend, mom, sister, random person on the street was when they were pregnant and remind them that most 20-something year olds have flawless pregnancies and are at prime child-bearing age so they need not worry about me :)

Honestly though I LOVE being pregnant so these questions and statements just make me laugh but I think people should know not to ask or say these things to pregnant women cause you never know their situation or what they have gone through.

Please feel free to share questions or statements you've recieved or have asked then inserted your foot into your mouth. Cause I know I've probably said stupid things in the past not realizing what it sounds like to the lady carrying a child inside her.
