Saturday morning I woke up and got breakfast with a dear friend, Sam, at one of my favorite places... Panera! I love their breakfast stuff especially their spinach and artichoke egg souffle. Yummy :) After our lovely breakfast I came home and picked Wade up and began our registering adventure!
Let me know what all you mom out there think... did you try cloth and hate them or did you not even mess with them? You can click on this link to see information about the G Diapers and see all the cute options they have and how they work differently than normal cloth diapers. All and all going to babies'r'us was a fun experience... although we definitely looked like newbies in the stroller section. We pulled a few down to test them out and took forever getting the car seat out of the stroller, we had a few people walk by and laugh at us and then one experienced dad came by and told us which one to get. We didn't choose the one he told us but we did check it out and spend some time debating between his choice and ours. Who knew registering would be such an adventure! But it was one of those fun experiences that I loved doing especially with Wade.
After babies'r'us we went and registered at Pottery Barn Baby. I am so glad this is the second place we went because they definitely did not have as much of a selections and it was much easier going there after we picked out the big things cause we were able to choose those finishing pieces for his room. I was suprised though that PB has some pretty affordable things at it and so much cute stuff.
Sunday we just spent the day cleaning out baby's room and starting to make some room for his things. I think this boy may have more clothes than me before he is born and he already has a little collection going. I can't wait to see all the cute clothes he gets and how much cuter they look when they are finally on him!
Hope you all had a great weekend! And let me know what you all think of cloth diapers.... I really am open to hearing others opinions :)

We did cloth for the first 8 months or so. I like the one size pocket dipes the best, and BumGenius were my fave. I did have some sized AIO's that were made by a stay at home mom friend of mine, they were snap closure and awesome!
ReplyDeleteRegistering is SO funnn! We had a blast, too.
My sister-in-law went with cloth diapers for their second and she swears by them. I wish we had tried them for Anna - she had SUCH horrible diaper rash, this is one way to head that off! Plus you cannot believe how much the paper ones cost. It's insane. I say try the cloth if you can - we may be this time around!
ReplyDeleteWe tried cloth and it was TERRIBLE. Gooner has REALLY sensitive skin and the cloth ones just did not wick away the moisture like the disposable ones. I spent a LOT of money on cloth because I thought they would work. My advice: only buy a little and then try them. If they work, buy all you need NOT the other way around.
ReplyDeleteCloth diapers sound interesting. You are right though....super cute with that little "g" on the bum! He'd by styling for sure!
