Week 23 side view
Week 23 front view
How far along? today I am 23 weeks and 6 days
Baby is the size of a(n): One website put it as he is the size of a harry potter book both length and width. A little over a pound and about 11 inches long.
Changes in me: Maybe a little tmi here but I am on my 3rd bra since becoming pregnant... quite a big change! I never knew I could go through so many sizes. All you mom's out there... what is the best solution for this "problem", like where did you find affordable or adjustable bras? Cause I'm sure they will grow a little more before I buy my set of nursing bras and honestly I hate spending all this money on something I will use for a month or 2.
Food cravings: Hamburgers!! I have never been able to finish a whole burger while out to eat in my whole life.... but the other night I not only finished a burger but also most of our spinach and artichoke dip appetizer. I am pretty sure I could have ate another burger to if it was offered to me too ;)
Sleeping: A little better this week. I think I slept 6 hours most nights, aside from the bathroom breaks.
Milestones: He is now discovering his sense of touch so he is pulling on his umbilical cord and poking around alot. Oh and Wade says, his love for football as he purchased him a nfl mobile this week :)
Babies activity: His kicks are becoming more rythmatic this week. For example, this morning my dad is helping Wade finish up the pantry and everytime my dad hammers little man kicks along to the beat. Too funny and cute! :)
Interesting things that happened this past week: Wade and I went to see the movie, Valentine's Day(which by the way was a fun date night movie) but as we were waiting in line before they let us in to the theatre one of the male employees there came up to me and asked "Miss, do you want me to pull a bench over for you to seat on while you wait to go in?" I told him I didn't but thanks for asking. I thought that was so sweet of him to think of a pregnant woman and try to make me as comfortable as possible while I waited. I almost asked for his name so I could call the next day and tell his manager all about how much I appreciated him, but of course I forgot. I guess there are perks to this whole big belly thing after all ;)
Definitely wait until your milk comes in before you spend money on nursing bras. You'll need a bigger size for the first week or so, and then after your milk supply adjusts, you'll be able to stay in one for a while. I love the Gilligan Omally nursing bra's from Target. They were cheap, and really comfortable! Not to mention, easy to send the Hubs after. ;) Cute, cute baby bump!
ReplyDeleteI loved nursing tanks at target by the gilligan Omally brand. It keeps your tummy covered and warm while nursing, plus they go under clothes really easily. I hated nursing bras...so I practically lived in the nursing tanks. Unfortunately, my boobs never got much bigger during my pregnancy only after my milk came in and then I gave Pamela a run for her money! HA!
ReplyDeleteThat was so sweet of the guy at the theater! Those moments must be great! And I agree, Valentine's Day was a great date night movie, funny and cute. Plus, I just like Jennifer Garner, so it was fun to see her in a movie...and Julia Roberts and everyone else!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, once again, you are looking HOT! Love ya!
I second Michelle's nursing tanks suggestion. They are also stretchy so if you got, say, one or two right now, they would probably stretch with you till the new Greening arrives. The tummy covering comes in handy as you get bigger because it keeps your tummy from chaffing as it rubs against your clothes. And they can be really comfy to sleep in at night - as you get bigger, it may start to hurt to sleep without support at night. You can get some cheap ones at Wal-Mart or Target for right now and then towards the end when you know more how big you will be you can get more permanent ones. Even just tanks with bras built in - without the nursing clips - would work for now (not like you're nursing yet!).
