~1~ We took LB to his first KState basketball game. He loved it...well except for when we made 3-pointers, which we did alot that game, and the whole crowd cheered. He would get startled then jump then cry. So we spent most of the game like this as to ward off the startle. Isn't he just the cutest little wildcat?
~2~ Haircut. When do you all think it is time to cut a babies hair? I have always been a believer in waiting the first year. But now that I have LB and he has some crazy hair I am starting to think it may be time to trim it up. Although, I really don't want to do it because then it would mean he is no longer a little baby. He is sporting a pretty awesome rat tale and some long curly side-burns as well as an awesome mohawk. What do I do...leave it as is or trim it up in hopes people stop mistaking him for a girl.
~3~ Chai tea. While in Manhattan, KS...where K-State is, I made a stop by my favorite coffeeshop., Radina's. Whenever I go there I have to get their Chai tea lattes. They are the best I have ever had, seriously. This time I decided to try their new to me menu item, a Chocolate Chai tea Latte and it was unbelievable. I would have never thought to combine chocolate and chai but it was so delicious. It almost makes me want to move back there just so I could drink one every day. So this is my new goal to recreate Radina's Chocolate Chai tea latte, and once I do, you can be sure to know I will share the love.
~4~ Daily time in God's Word. It has been life-changing. Although, I will admit I have missed a few days. But I have noticed a huge difference in my day when I spend the time soaking in the promises of God. I am much more patient with LB's teething fusses. And I am much more loving toward my amazing husband. I also have noticed it makes me more productive and able to handle my job as a home-maker with more grace. I feel more pride in where God has placed me and recognize how meaningful this role in life is. All to say, God's word is and always will be life-changing. I encourage each of you to spend some time with our Wonderful Counselor. If you don't know where to get started check out The book of Matthew to read all about who Jesus is. I'd love to encourage you too so let me know if I can help.
Hope you all have a blessed week to come!

I say cut it. Cutting his hair doesn't change his age or make him not a baby! I think he may even look a little younger with shorter hair, and more like a baby, less like a kid.
ReplyDeleteLove you!!
I agree cut it. (Although I am a huge fan of his wild hair) I took care of this baby at work last night that had the MOST ridic tuft of hair...I just wanted to put a hat on him or something cause it looked so funny. I also am in favor of trimming shullets- you know, She-mullets that little girls get around 9mo. Please remind me of this advice next year when I ask the sam question-k?
ReplyDeleteIf it bugs you, definitely cut it! Q barely made it to 1 year.
